Please watch and read our 2020 Report, and help us praise God for all He has done this year.

Dear Friends and Partners,

Whew. What a year. Going into 2020 very few if any of us saw what was coming. COVID, unrest, politics, the lockdowns – what a year filled with bad things. Just like the rest of the world, our 2020 plans were up-ended. International travel was locked down, Nepal and many other countries closed their borders to protect their people, even church as we know it was changed.

It's been rough. Our family (The Stanleys) has seen tragedy and sorrow on top of sorrow, yet we rest in the eternal goodness of God.

To finish the year out, we thought it would be great to talk about some of the good things God has done in the ministry during 2020. We must never be people who ignore the blessings of God because of the evils we live through in this world. Jesus said, In this world, we will have trouble, but we can take heart because Jesus has overcome this world!

Just like the rest of the world, we had to make quick adjustments here at HASTEN, but by the grace of God, we did, and lasting fruit is the result. Please enjoy this report on some of our highlights. Of course, not everything is included, but here is a short walkthrough of some of the victories we've seen in 2020.

Starting Off

As we started off this year, we knew we had to dedicate it to the Lord. We spent a week over the new years seeking God's direction at a conference in Florida.

In 2020, our team and partners in Nepal went to many unreached and remote areas preaching the Gospel. They started new fellowships and baptized many new believers. Thanks to your giving, we were able to fully support each of these missionaries, teachers, pastors, and evangelists. Not one of our teammates went without Hasten's support the entire year, although, for many, many months, they have not been able to meet publically. It is our goal to once again double these partnerships in 2020.

First Team Gatherings (USA)

Our initial goal was to launch Hasten Church in Chattanooga, TN as a portable setup in early 2020. Unfortunately, because of COVD, this was not possible. Instead, we began building a small team of faithful and gifted individuals. We have been consistently meeting for prayer, planning, and worship.

Hasten Chattanooga - Phase One Remodel (USA)

Since our plans to launch in early 2020 were impossible, we prayed and asked the Lord how to adjust. We felt we should lease and remodel a small storefront in Chattanooga. We have been working non-stop to remodel this space and are just about complete. Moreover, because of your giving and many people donating hundreds of hours of labor, we have been able to remodel this and purchase some of our equipment for only $50k. This area will be phase one of three and as we grow and move into a larger space in the same building (pray this happens!), this area will become out studio and children's ministry center. We know this will be paid off soon as we will be ready to keep moving forward!

Hasten Church Online Launch (USA)

Our next step was to launch Hasten Church Online. Our Music Director, Carlous, put together an amazing team and we filmed three online services to introduce Hasten Church to the world! It was a great success and has resulted in many team members coming on board from this production.

Kid's Home Expansion

Our goal this year was to expand our current kid's home and locate a second location. Since COVID restrictions in Nepal prevented us from scouting new locations and visiting the country (International Travel has been shut down almost since the beginning), we decided to move faster with expanding. We added a new bedroom to our current Host Home and expanded their dining room to fit more children. Now we have more capacity for a few at-risk cases our host parents are keeping their eye on. One of the children are already in our care while we will be ready if two others need an emergency home.

Receiving our First Children (USA)

Since the Lord spoke to Pastor Darlene's heart to 'SAVE HIS BABIES", Hasten has been running full steam ahead in doing so. We give homes to kid's in Nepal, teach mothers how to read, we even have had job skill training to provide work for suffering families. However, here in the USA, Pastor Dustan & Darlene have now been blessed with two little ones to love of their own. Our goal is that we guide many to become a part of the foster/adoptive home ministry that is so needed here in the USA.

Without your faithfulness and obedience, none of this would have been possible. 2020 has been a very rough year for many. For us, it has been one of the hardest years of our lives. Your messages, text, calls, prayers, and giving have held up our arms. At the beginning of Dec, when our brother passed away from COVID, your emotional support and love carried us. We are forever thankful for that and for you. We know that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. In all of our troubles, we are more than conquerors.

That's why, while we are thankful for all God has done in 2020, we are looking forward to 2021. For us, it feels like a coming year of fruition, where things we have been working on for years are birthed.

All to Jesus,
